The report
Four jackets, supplied on loan by the manufacturer and returned after testing. Our findings are unaffected by that arrangement.
Waterproofing is honest. New, we measured 7,100 mm hydrostatic head. After forty industrial wash cycles it fell to 4,900 mm — still above the 4,000 mm that most site specs require, but a 31% loss is faster than we would like.
Retroreflective banding held Class 3 through the whole wash programme, which is the single most common failure in this category.
Serviceability is 52. The cuff seam on one jacket failed at 9,200 abrasion cycles, and there is no supplied repair patch or spare hardware. Zip pulls are riveted.
